Tune in here to this Tuesday edition of Breaking With Brett Jensen!

In tonight’s show Breaking Brett Jensen is joined in the studio by CMPD Police Chief Johnny Jennings to discuss everything from his childhood to the biggest issues facing Mecklenburg County residents today.

In the first segment Jensen and Jennings discuss the rising trend of kids bringing guns to schools, what steps can be taken to combat this crisis, and the reinstatement of Jail North as a juvenile facility. Jennings emphasizes the importance of not simply locking these young people up in a local safe facility but also implementing programs intended to educate and reform these kids.

Later in the show Jennings is asked to share what made him into the man he is today, from his childhood in Tennessee to his college football career at Appalachian State University.

Jensen gives Jennings time at the end of the show to cover anything he feels was left out of their interview. Jennings uses this time to praise all of the good CMPD officers do everyday. All police officers aren’t bad, their good name is tainted by a few bad apples. Take the time to thank a police officer for putting their lives’ on the line day in and day out to keep us safe!
