Dr. William Forstchen is a historian, NY Times best-selling author, and a professor of history at Montreat College. He joined the program for a tribute to the heroes who stormed the beaches of Normandy 80 years ago on this date.

The trial of President Joe Biden's son, Hunter, got underway this week and the defense is making some very weak arguments in its effort to spare him from a guilty verdict.

Despite claims to the contrary from Charlotte boosters and elected officials, taxpayer-funded professional stadiums are not engines for economic growth. The City Council is weighing a $650 million donation to upgrade the stadium, with money from the team coming years later.

The former president of the Miami Marlins baseball team says the City of Charlotte needs to make Panthers owner David Tepper put money in first, because of his business record in the local area.
