Brett fields a call from a listener, Jim, discussing the rise of squatters invading American homes across the nation. Jim states that there are only two owners of any property, firstly God, and secondly the government. Jim claims that the reason these squatters can invade your property with little to no repercussions is because the government does little to stop it and makes the removal process difficult, costly, and time consuming.
The conversation quickly transitions to iconic photographs that have captured monumental historical events that shaped the world we live in today. Brett and Jim start with the images of the Kennedy and Lincoln assassinations. They then discuss the Brady photograph from the Civil War showing fields of hundreds of dead and maimed Americans. Jim says all recorded historical facts of the day pale in comparison to the impact of that one picture which encapsulates the horrors of the Civil War.
