Fox News is adding a new contributor with a familiar name.

The cable news network announced Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, would be incorporated as a contributor. The Wrightsville Beach, N.C. native is married to the ex-president’s son Eric.

News of Trump’s hire was announced on Fox & Friends on Monday as she was introduced by co-anchor Ainsley Earhardt.

“Let’s bring in Lara Trump, former senior adviser for the Trump campaign, and we have a big announcement,” Earhardt said. “She is a new Fox News contributor. Welcome to the family, Lara.”

The addition of Trump is noteworthy because she’s the first member of the former president’s family to hold a paid role with Fox News since he left office. She reportedly is also mulling a U.S. Senate run in her home state next year.

Fox News will likely cut ties with Trump, if she officially announces her candidacy.

Several former Trump cabinet members are already part of Fox’s lineup of contributors. Most notably, former economic adviser Larry Kudlow and former Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany who signed onĀ earlier this month.
