Another student has been charged with bringing a gun to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg school. According to police, the incident happened Monday at West Charlotte High School. No further details were provided by CMPD. In just 17 days of class, this marks the eighth weapon— seven guns and a knife— to be found on school property.

The Tar Heel State came in No. 2 overall in a CNBC survey with the highest rankings for economy and workforce, moving up one spot from third in 2019. A solid profile with life, health and inclusion as the only factor the state scored in the bottom-half-- 37th out of 50-- with a D- grade.

According to the protocols established by the NCAA, those players who're fully vaccinated didn't have to adhere to regular COVID-19 testing during the tournament. However, those who're are unvaccinated would still have to be screened, forcing the string of positive tests for NC State.

Biden will be in Raleigh on Thursday before heading back to Washington DC. During the president’s visit he will highlight the ease of getting vaccinated and encourage North Carolinians to be qualified for the $1 million lottery happening over the course of the next two months.

Under current NCAA rules, students cannot be paid, but the scholarship money can offset the cost of attending school. A provision the NCAA continues to defend to keep the amateur nature of college sports. But the former athletes who brought the case forward argued that the NCAA's trade-off violated federal antitrust law designed to promote competition.
