Breaking Brett Jensen is joined tonight by Kevin and Beth Tolson, Kevin is the current York County Sheriff and his wife, Beth, is currently running for the position as Sheriff of York County.
Brett kicks the show off by asking Kevin about his decision to remove his name from the ballot and how they decided to have Beth take his place. Kevin asserts that he chose to step down after he was offered a job travelling the country to help establish mental health programs for police officers and sheriff’s deputies.
This all may seem shocking to some people as you hear that a sitting sheriff stepped down and their significant other steps into their place, but for the Tolson’s this isn’t such a far fetched idea. Beth Tolson is much more than the wife of a sheriff, she has over three decades of experience in law enforcement and is the daughter of the former sheriff of York County.
