WBT’s Bo Thompson and Beth Troutman recently sat down for an exclusive interview with Dr. Katie Passaretti to talk about the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Medical Director of Infection Prevention for Atrium Health is not only one of the southeast’s leading infectious disease experts, but has also been the face of Atrium’s COVID-19 team over the last year. Passaretti was gracious enough to do a rare long-form interview in the Ty Boyd Studio. Among the topics that were discussed included a conversation about vaccine hesitancy.
As of July 12, a little over half of North Carolina’s adult population were considered fully vaccinated against the virus. A plateaued total which likely means the state will fall short of the two-thirds goal set by Gov. Roy Cooper in February.
