Charlotte Dem mayor endorses Republican in Huntersville race

At a recent campaign event, Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles endorsed the candidacy of Derek Partee, a Republican, for Huntersville mayor. In an apparent reference to white people, he told the crowd that he “will always check them.”
