Today on this Halloween edition of the Brett Winterble Show we kick off the week with discussion about the attack on Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul last week as new details emerge.
Brett shares some of the new details he’s seen since the attack on Friday morning as well as his thoughts about how the details add up and questions about the security at the Pelosi home before he is joined by regular caller Jim in San Diego to theorize about the police response time as well as the number and types of hammers involved in the attack.
The attacker — who allegedly had a number of other prominent figures in mind target — has since been arrested and charged with numerous criminal offenses including attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, burglary and several additional felonies.
The Speaker of the House said that her husband’s condition continues to improve and that she and her family are “grateful for the quick response of law enforcement and emergency services, and for the life-saving medical care he is receiving,” in a letter to members of congress.
