After the Michael Whatley campaign tweeted a graphic in support of the Carolina Hurricanes in the Stanley Cup Finals, a reporter asked him to name three players. Whatley said he liked the entire team. Outrage ensued. Oh! Also… the Twitter graphic had an AI-generated image of a hockey player. This is also an outrage to media. Oh! Also… if it were an actual picture of a Hurricanes player that would “raise questions” about whether the campaign had the legal right to use the image. This, too, is an outrage. If it happened. Which it didn’t.
