Tune in here to this Thursday edition of the Brett Winterble Show!
Brett kicks off the program by talking about his concerns regarding the Trump hush money trial in New York, although his concerns aren’t what you may think. Brett is worried for the jurors in the trial and what may happen to them if they don’t come to the conclusion the corrupt government officials want them to. What happens if they acquit?
Later in the segment Brett shares a clip of Katherine Maher, the NPR CEO, saying that the first amendment, the freedom of speech is the number one impediment to large media platforms. In her opinion it enables the peddling of misinformation/disinformation, she doesn’t see these platforms as a town square where the free market of ideas can compete but as a place for narratives to be strictly upheld.
