Brett kicks off the program with Pete Kaliner, for this week’s Friday Hangover segment, Brett starts the segment by asking Pete if he thinks comedy is dead in America? Pete argues that comedy movies are certainly on the decline but there has been a resurgence of stand up comedy across the country fueled by social media, which allows comedians to go the independent route where a few good sets and a couple viral videos can shoot you to the top.
Later in the segment Brett and Pete discuss Hillary Clinton’s fun camp for adults idea from the early 2000’s, she claims that the American people are in the midst of a “fun-deficit” that must be addressed. We don’t have all of the details ironed out but we are under the assumption this is some sort of summer camp for adults full of outdoor activities and smores around the campfire.
