Breaking Brett Jensen kicks the show off by talking about NC State’s incredible run this season, their runs in the past, and his hopes for them this weekend. Brett discusses their great runs in 1974 and 1983, the difficult task they had playing Duke for the second time in only a few weeks, and he stands by all oh his less than supportive coverage of NC State but gladly admits that he is rooting for them to win it all!
Later in the show Brett covers the UNC Charlotte situation where the student government has passed a resolution demanding that the administration denounces Israel, and cuts all ties with the country. UNCC participates in archaeological digs in Israel and refuses to denounce them. According to this student movement this makes UNCC students, faculty, and staff complicit in the “genocide” Israel is conducting against the Palestinian people.
Brett shares a message sent directly to him from the UNCC administration stating that they are committed to remaining neutral, ensuring a safe environment for all students, and that the resolution passed by the student government will not be heeded by the university. UNCC supports their free speech but does NOT support their message.
