Jensen also discusses some of the things that set various politicians apart, specifically the importance of name recognition. “If you don’t have name recognition, you better have a lot of money,” Jensen said. It’s not all about name recognition, platform and policy are very important, but it will be very hard to garner the votes needed if you can’t match or exceed the name recognition of your opponent.
