Brett kicks off the show with a one on one interview with North Carolina Treasurer Dale Folwell discussing why Ozempic will no longer be covered by insurance in North Carolina for weight loss, it will only be covered for people who suffer from diabetes. Ozempic is a drug designed to treat diabetes but was found to be a miracle weight-loss drug, although the side effects became unacceptable for use as a weight-loss drug.
Brett also has a one on one interview with the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Catherine Truitt, who is currently running for reelection. Truitt has fallen victim to the political machine that has a special way of smearing the good name of public servants. Current superintendent Truitt has had untrue claims made about her, such as allowing convicted sex offenders retain their teaching license.
