Brett gets the show started by talking with Mark Garrison from the WBT news room to talk about Mark’s annual pilgrimage to the North Carolina State Fair to taste and vote on the wide variety of strange and tasty foods for sale at the Fair. Mark talks about what he thought were the biggest hits he found + shares the stories of some of the vendors he met.
Later Brett talks about how some North Carolina Democrats in the General Assembly responded to the body voting to send a letter to Congress in support of Israel in the wake of the attacks by Hamas + the role some representatives (including from Mecklenburg County) played in the vote.
Finally we end the program with Brett sharing an update on the situation with his golden retriever Maggie’s health situation after a couple of long days at the vet.
