California’s new US Senator lives in Maryland

California Governor Gavin Newsom picked Laphonza Butler to replace the late US Senator Diane Feinstein. Butler is a former union leader, abortion activist, Black, lesbian, former campaign advisor for Kamala Harris’s presidential run. She checks a lot of Democrat boxes, except the one where she lives in California.
