Coming to you from Mayor Vi Lyles’ election headquarters, we start Breaking with Brett Jensen with an interview with Mark Harris, who has announced he’s running for the 8th district seat in congress.
Brett talks with Harris about his motivation for running and what kind of leadership he can provide that he feels the state and country need + Harris address the baggage of election fraud his campaign with face as well as why he thinks his behavior during the scandal means he is still a trustworthy candidate.
He also shares how discussions with his son (who had to testify against him in his election fraud scandal) about running for office once again have gone.
Harris then explains why his life and experience make him a strong candidate for the congressional seat + explains how his convictions come into his political decision making as well as how his role as a pastor has impacted his political career and why he will continue preaching regardless of how the campaign goes.
