Lefty ice cream creators, Ben & Jerry, called for the return of “stolen land” to indigenous people. They did it on Independence Day, naturally. The same day the Associated Press did a lengthy story on how the term “patriot” has become politicized. The reporters blamed the right, naturally. However, extremists would never have been able to take the word had the left abandoned it.
