Sherman: Rules of engagement set up soldiers for failure in Afghanistan

The Pentagon said Friday that reports of the Taliban taking control of Kabul Airport are false. However, U.S. service members and allies are surrounded with very few options as the insurgency group gains more control of assets in Afghanistan.

Craig Sherman, a former US Marine, explains to WBT’s Vince Coakley how soldiers were set up for failure in their current mission in the middle eastern region. He also gives a detailed account of how the airport is laid out and how that plays into a disadvantage for ongoing evacuation efforts.
