Employees at the store said they thought it was nothing more than a harmless paperweight. “The grenade, thought to be inert, may contain materials that could degrade and explode,”

Outside of the arrests, five people died during Wednesday's events including a Capitol police officer, who was hit in the head by a fire extinguisher by a rioter. A woman was shot and killed by police after disregarding orders by officers and three others died of medical emergencies.
