An original ruling by the lower court said the "20-week threshold" would make some "pre-viability abortions" illegal, which would be in violation of the Supreme Court's 1992 ruling in the case of Planned Parenthood v. Casey. Several pro-life organizations and more than a dozen Republican states supported North Carolina in the effort, according to Fox News.

A historic meeting with President Joe Biden and Russia's Vladimir Putin ended after a three-hour closed door exchange between the two world leaders on Wednesday. The two shook hands and exchanged pleasantries before immediately starting the summit on the world stage in Geneva.

According to White House officials, a summit between the two leaders is set for June 16 and will be part of Biden’s first international trip as president. Japan has also restricted US citizens since the start of the pandemic with "very few exceptions" on entrance into the country.

Brown, 42, was killed by deputies as he sat in his car on the morning of April 21. According to the initial autopsy, authorities fired several shots with five of them striking Brown in the back and a fatal one to the back of his head. Womble claims Brown's vehicle made contact with officers before the killing.
