Steven Serio was the co-captain of the USA Men’s National Wheelchair Basketball Team that won the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
When he was 11 months old, Steve had surgery to remove a spinal tumor which resulted in the compression of his spinal cord. Consequently, he was left paralyzed. Steve “Rebounded” by turning into one of the most celebrated Olympic athletes in USA history.
Steve was a 2017 ESPY winner and is related to Coach Doherty.
