Breaking Brett Jensen kicks off the show by revisiting Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ back-to-school press conference. Jensen notes that during the event, Superintendent Dr. Crystal Hill refused to answer questions about her suspension. He then questions whether North Carolina Auditor Dave Boliek could investigate the circumstances surrounding Hill’s suspension and the CMS investigation. To illustrate his point, he recalls Boliek’s investigation into the confidential payout to former Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings in 2025.
