Tune in here to this Tuesday edition of Breaking With Brett Jensen!

Breaking Brett Jensen kicks off the show by discussing the ongoing debate over the proposed I-77 South toll lanes. Jensen notes that several municipalities around Charlotte initially supported the project but later reversed their positions. He also details which municipalities are now reversing their previous opposition to the project and shares emails he exclusively obtained showing opposition from Matthews Mayor John Higdon.

Later, Jensen speaks with North Carolina Sen. Vickie Sawyer and Monroe Mayor Robert Burns about the toll lane proposal. Sawyer discusses an amendment included in the state budget related to the I-77 project, while Burns explains Monroe’s decision to reaffirm its support for the project.
