Medical helicopter crashes near Wilmington

A medical helicopter crashed in North Carolina near Wilmington on Monday evening, with three crew members recovered and taken to hospital for evaluation.
No patients were on board at the time, and no fatalities have been reported. The crash occurred near the Pender-New Hanover county line.
The aircraft was a Novant Health AirLink helicopter.
“We are focused on the well-being of the flight crew, their families and our team members,” said Novant Health spokesman Julian March. “We are still in the initial response and information gathering phase at this time and have limited information to share. We appreciate the prompt assistance from all area first responders who are assisting us tonight.“
Novant Health expects to release more details about the incident.
