Later, Brett talks about the local impact of President Trump’s deportation plans, specifically Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, sharing a clip from WBTV covering the ongoing situation at CMS. Teachers, administrators, parents, and many more are panicked over the situation, in fear that ICE will raid CMS and deport and children who are in America illegally. With a third of CMS student being of Latino descent the Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board came out making a statement that all students will be safe at school.
