Former One Direction Star Liam Payne Dies After Fall in Argentina

Former One Direction star Liam Payne has died following a fall at a hotel in Argentina, according to local police. The English singer was 31.

Payne was staying at the CasaSur Hotel in Palermo, Argentina, when he fell from his third-floor hotel room, according to local police.

Payne was a founding member of One Direction upon the group’s formation in 2010, where they rose to international prominence after appearing on X Factor. The group consisted of Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. One Direction broke up in 2015.

After the group’s breakup, Payne embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album LP1 in 2019.
