The National Weather Service says there is a 70% chance of rain overnight Thursday from the North Carolina mountains as far south as the Charlotte area with a slight chance for snow as far east as Raleigh. A mix of rain and snow will develop around 3 a.m. on Friday and will move out closer to Noon.Â
