The first book is expected to be released in 2023 and will be a memoir of his time as second-in-command under President Trump. As for the second, it will be more of a broad autobiographical read expected in early 2024.

Half of Republicans believe the Jan. 6 violent siege was “largely a non-violent protest” or done by left-wing activists “trying to make Trump look bad,” the poll found. Overall, 59% blame Trump for the attack, and 80% of Democrats and 60% of Independents do not believe the Jan. 6 events were non-violent or staged by the left.

Rice was among ten Republican representatives who joined Democrats to impeach Trump for his role in the violence a earlier at the U.S. Capitol. A Senate trial is expected to start next week.

In the six-day span, Republicans had a net loss of 2,137 registered voters across The Tar Heel State. Out of those, a majority went towards claiming a no party status. "More than 2,400 of those people switched to unaffiliated with 262 moving to the Democratic Party," the report said.
