Starting March 22, customers who have received at least their first shots of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or Johnson & Johnson's single-dose shot, are eligible for a free doughnut at stores nationwide. All you need to do is show a valid COVID-19 vaccination card.

The vaccines made by BioNTech/Pfizer and rival Moderna use messenger RNA, or mRNA, to carry instructions into the human body for making proteins that prime it to attack a specific virus. The same principle can be applied to get the immune system to take on cancer.

A base of over 1,200 adults were surveyed last week, and out of that group 49% of GOP men said they wouldn't get a shot. While approximately 30 percent of Americans overall said they do not plan on getting vaccinated. The other half of the Republican men said they would get the vaccine or had already got it.
