Breaking Brett Jensen discusses Ken McCool’s opinion article about the Interstate 77 toll lanes. Jensen notes that McCool, a former mayor pro tem of Matthews, believes Matthews and other local municipalities should not have to repay the N.C. Department of Transportation after the project was rescinded. Jensen criticizes McCool for comparing the Interstate 77 project with spending related to the Silver Line light rail project. He also says McCool failed to adequately research the issue before publishing the article.
