Not since Rush Limbaugh has a host combined serious political and cultural news with satirical humor. He has been one of America’s most well-respected radio hosts for over 25 years, and now he’s conquering the talk radio and podcast world. Liberals beware…you just might laugh at yourselves! Hour 1:
Segment 1:
Subject: TJ opens the show talking about a “man drought” going on in Latvia. Women outnumber men by roughly 15 percent in the country. Since this is the case, women are resorting to “rent-a-husband” services to help with the household chores. TJ talks about how American men could get lucky in winning over a woman in Latvia.
Segment 2:
Subject: TJ talks about the career criminals that have been committing crimes in Charlotte. He specifically references the suspect in the latest stabbing on the light rail, Oscar Solarzano, who had hundreds of convictions prior to carrying out the stabbing. He also talks about the need to bring back the “Three Strikes” rule when it comes to criminals who feel the need to re-offend.
Segment 3:
Subject: TJ transitions to talk about a preacher woman in New Orleans who follows ICE and reports their locations online. He shares a clip from MSNOW who celebrates and follows the woman carrying out her operation, calling her work “a means of letting the community stay safe”. TJ says that this woman should have been charged and thrown in jail for doing this.
Segment 4:
Subject: TJ continues to talk about the preacher woman in New Orleans who alerts her community about ICE. He challenges her moral authority by giving a scenario of prisoners who escaped from the local penitentiary and questions if she would help the escaped prisoners like she does with the illegal aliens.
HOUR 2
Segment 1:
Subject: TJ shares a clip of California Gov. Gavin Newsom talking to Minnesota Gov. Tim Waltz. In the clip, Waltz tells Newsom that he thinks his masculinity “scares people”. TJ goes onto emphasize the hilarity of this conversation.
Segment 2:
Subject: TJ discusses a current sports story in which retired NFL quarterback Philip Rivers has signed with the Indianapolis Colts practice squad. He describes that many people think that this signing by the Colts is racist, and they should’ve signed former quarterback Colin Kaepernick instead. TJ remarks that he would prefer to sign a retired Rivers over Kaepernick, who has played the victim role in the past when given chances by the NFL.
Segment 3:
Subject: TJ talks about Robin Williams, who won an Academy Award for his role in “Good Morning Vietnam”, whose character got fired from the radio station he worked for being too “zany”. He then compares Williams’ character in the movie to Tim Waltz and his masculinity comment. He then shares a clip of an African-American woman talking about the difference between Somali and Asian immigrants.
Segment 4:
Subject: TJ talks about Kristen Welker from NBC inviting the Israeli ambassador on her show. He shares a clip of their interview, in which the ambassador calls out Welker for citing death toll from the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry. TJ says this was wrong of Welker to make Israel look bad in this way. He closes the show by catching up on the texts from his listeners on the WBT Text Line.
