Brett kicks off the program by talking with Pete Kaliner for this week’s Friday Hangover. The two talk about the majority of our dearly beloved lefty callers disappearing after the election, thankfully they are slowly rolling back in as President Trump is on an executive order rampage, implementing many of his campaign promises in the first days of his administration.
They then move onto Trump’s visit to Western North Carolina to see the devastation from Hurricane Helene and form a plan with locals on how to move forward. Love or hate Trump, he made a career as a developer and takes that same mindset to politics, seeing the potential in every situation. Trump is a doer, when he sees a problem his first instinct is to immediately address it while others see issues then instinctively talk the issue to death before doing anything.
