Commandant JFK Files, & More on The Brett Winterble Show
Commandant Gordon, JFK Files, and More on The Brett Winterble Show
Tune in here to this Thursday edition of the Brett Winterble Show!
Brett kicks off the program by talking with USMC veteran, Commandant Tom Gordon from The Military Academy of South Carolina, better known as the Citadel, about people who get to sit in the emergency row on airline flights that get a little extra leg room and a lot more responsibility. They discuss flight 1549 that was struck by a bird, disabling their engine, resulting in its emergency landing in New York’s Hudson River. Commandant Gordon uses this story to discuss leadership and keeping calm under pressure. Coincidently, the man who found himself in the emergency row on this day was Citadel alumnus Mark Hood. This highlights the Citadels key goal of developing resilient and virtuous leaders to fill the gaps in modern society. For more wisdom from Commandant Gordon check out his book “Marine Maxims: Turning Principles into Practice.”
Beth Troutman from Good Morning BT is also here for this Thursday’s episode of Crossing the Streams. Brett and Beth talk about President Trump’s executive order declassifying the JFK, RFK, and MLK files. They also discuss President Trump’s proposed tax cuts, creating incentives for American and foreign businesses to bring manufacturing back to the US. Beth also shares what she and Bo have coming up tomorrow on Good Morning BT!
Later, we’re joined by Pastor Cory Brooks from The New Beginnings Church and Project Hood, to talk about the direction of the country, and what it’s like day to day in a sanctuary city. For more information on Pastor Brooks and Project Hood go to projecthood.org
