Tune in here to this Wednesday edition of the Brett Winterble Show!
We’re joined by Coach Matt Doherty from Doherty Coaching to talk about all the things, from President Biden’s farewell speech tonight to peace breaking out in the Middle East and the cold front heading in next week. Coach Doherty takes us back to the basics, “if you can’t pass, dribble, and shoot, it’s hard to play basketball,” the same goes for politics. “It’s a dance,” Doherty said, in regard to President-elect Trump accomplishing his campaign promises while also making the left feel included and represented. President-elect Trump must assemble a team of loyalists, not “yes men,” but people dedicated to the bigger picture.
Later, the duo discusses what’s going on with the Tar Heels following their slow start to the season. They also discuss Pete Hegseth’s confirmation hearing and the things that were said about him. Despite it all, we must take into account that Hegseth is a combat veteran who signed a blank check to the American people. Not that this should give him a free pass but it should garner him a grace period to see if he is able to preform at this level.
