Breaking Brett Jensen kicks the show off by talking about Concerns are growing over the connection between coal ash from Duke Energy and high rates of thyroid cancer in the Mooresville and Lake Norman areas. Residents have found toxic radiation levels near coal ash sites, with some buried under schools and homes. Despite over 400 reported cases, the situation has not been officially declared a “cancer cluster,” but pressure is mounting for more studies and EPA involvement.
And The Panthers are benching rookie quarterback Bryce Young in favor of veteran Andy Dalton after a rough start to the season. The coaching staff believes Dalton gives them a better chance to win, though they’ve avoided directly criticizing Young’s performance.
