During the exchange, a member of the Marshals' Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force (CRFTF) perceived a lethal threat and fired their service weapon striking Jennings. Witnesses in the area say they heard two shots fired. Jennings was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.Â
