Bo Thompson and Beth Troutman talk to Kelly Weeks, Widow of Deputy US Marshal Thomas Weeks. Tommy was killed in the line of duty in April as he and three other officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant in East Charlotte.
During the exchange, a member of the Marshals' Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force (CRFTF) perceived a lethal threat and fired their service weapon striking Jennings. Witnesses in the area say they heard two shots fired. Jennings was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.Â
