Davis said he understands the expectations at North Carolina and the challenges that come with playing against the best in the ACC. “North Carolina is going to show up. Every game. Every day.” As for recruiting, Davis said he wants to recruit the best players in the country the right way.
Davis has been an assistant coach under Williams for the past nine seasons in Chapel Hill and was immediately considered a front runner for the position when the legendary coach announced he was stepping away on April 1. He's the sixth coach to take over in Chapel Hill over the past 70 years.
