A stunned crowd of 12,092 at Hard Rock Stadium watched the Hurricanes surrender a school record 778 yards of total offense to the Tar Heels, mostly on the ground with a 10.1 yards per carry average.  Neither team came into the game competing for an ACC championship, but a possible Orange Bowl berth was very much alive for winner.

North Carolina is looking to end the regular season on a high note. The 20th-ranked Tar Heels (7-3) head to Miami to take on the 9th-ranked Hurricanes (8-1). Kick-off is set for 3:30 Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium (TV: ABC, Radio: WBT)

It's been a tough week in Chapel Hill, where North Carolina lost its much-anticipated match-up with Notre Dame 31-17 last Saturday. Miami looms next week, but first the Tar Heels have to take care of Western Carolina. The Catamounts visit Chapel Hill on Saturday for a noon kick-off on WBT.
