A popular neighborhood burger joint has expanded outside of Charlotte. Ace No. 3’s second location opened on Monday in the Concord Mills area.

The comfortable southern-style Americana eatery is located at 8520 Pit Stop Ct. N.W. in the Colonnade shopping center.

“We’re excited to be at this location,” co-owner Paul Manley said about the opening. “We want to bring the same atmosphere with the great quality food and service we established at the Belmont location.”

Manley is one of three men behind the expansion project. They opened the original Ace in Charlotte’s Belmont neighborhood in late 2019. The Concord Mills design and planning took four months to execute with a well-spaced dining room and a Western-inspired vibe for the patio area. A huge addition to the restaurant is a curbside window with plenty of dedicated parking spaces for easy accessibility.

A third location is set to open in Charlotte’s historic Myers Park area at 829 Providence Road. The former home to Boston Market will be flipped over with a grand opening coming no later than May.

The menu for Ace is a deluxe take on burgers and fries, along with homemade shakes with a twist. For anyone seeking a childhood favorite, a fried bologna sandwich is also offered. The restaurant’s signature go-to is ‘The Ace’, which features two beef patties topped with American cheese, pickles and “comeback sauce” on a toasted bun. A mix of additional toppings and sides are offered to make any meal complete.

Ace’s No. 3 was ranked in Yelp’s “Top 100 Places to Eat” list for 2021. One of three North Carolina restaurants to earn that distinction.
