Shutdowns, Media Spins, And More On The Brett Winterble Show
Tune in here to this Wednesday’s edition of the Brett Winterble Show!
Brett kicks off the program by talking about the upcoming News and Brews event on the 29th and the surprising lack of public outrage over the government shutdown. He argues that Americans are more focused on football and holiday prep than D.C. drama, suggesting the political class is increasingly irrelevant to everyday life. From there, Brett unloads on the media, mocking George “Steffy” Stephanopoulos for failing to grasp that Thanksgiving prices have actually dropped, according to the Walmart CEO. The tone then shifts sharply as he defends JD Vance and his wife Usha from recent jabs made by Jen Psaki and MSNBC pundits. Brett slams what he sees as elitist sneering and calls Usha a brilliant legal mind, capable of outshining Biden’s entire staff.
We’re joined by Danielle Alvarez from the GOP to talk about the ongoing government shutdown and the high-stakes elections in Virginia and New Jersey. Alvarez pulls no punches, blaming Democrats for prioritizing political leverage over the needs of everyday Americans. She criticizes their refusal to pass a clean continuing resolution and accuses leadership of caring more about benefits for illegal immigrants than paying U.S. military and federal workers.
