Three Charlotte-area hospitals have earned top spots in U.S. News & World Report’s latest rankings of the best hospitals in North Carolina.

Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center is ranked third in the state and named the #1 hospital in Charlotte. The facility is nationally recognized for adult orthopedic care and 10 children’s specialties, including neonatology and pediatric heart surgery.

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center tied for seventh in the state, noted for high performance in 18 procedures and conditions. It was ranked as the #2 hospital in Charlotte.

Atrium Health Cabarrus came in tied at tenth statewide and was named the #3 hospital in the Charlotte region, earning praise for 15 high-performing procedures and conditions.

The top two hospitals in North Carolina are Duke University Hospital in Durham and UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
