Jensen highlights recent actions, including the firing of the long-standing county manager and county attorney. 

The tension escalates as Chris Measmer, the chair of the board, is also appointed as a new state. Jensen reveals a controversial special meeting set for 8:15 AM on Thursday, to vote on a replacement for Measmer, despite concerns that one commissioner, who is on dialysis, won’t be able to attend. 

We’re Joined by Cabarrus County Commissioner Kenny Wortman to discuss the controversial situation surrounding the appointment of Chris Measmer’s replacement on the board. Worman criticizes the lack of transparency and the rushed process, noting that the position isn’t officially vacant yet, which violates the county’s rules.
