The Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board has voted for all K-12 students to learn remotely starting on Dec. 14. A vote that passed by a 6-3 margin on Tuesday night. However, no changes for Pre-K instruction that will still be offered in-person.

The two teams battled into overtime on Nov. 7 with the then top-ranked Tigers, omit Trevor Lawrence, dropping their first regular season game since 2017 with a 47-40 loss to the Fighting Irish. A match-up that likely would've been held over to the CFB Playoff is now twice as nice in ACC play due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Notre Dame (10-0) went from being an FBS independent to becoming the 15th member of the ACC in order to have a full schedule this season

"As cases across the country continue to rise, we've seen rapid increases in our key metrics here in North Carolina," Cooper said during a press conference. "Our case counts have broken single-day records on three separate days in just the last week, and the percent of tests returning positive has increased to more than ten percent."

Saturday, the 18th ranked Coastal Carolina Chanticleers played 13th ranked BYU and won the game 22-17 with a late game stand in their red zone. A thrilling matchup that was put together last minute and the result was a thriller that Mac is calling the game of the year, right up there with Notre Dame vs Clemson.

North Carolina waits to see if restrictions will tighten as the Governor's current executive order is set to expire on Friday at 3 p.m. ET. As it stands right now, businesses are operating at a reduced capacity with most restaurant dining rooms shut down entirely.
