The travel site named North Carolina as their top state with the most hospitable hosts, according to internal data collected over the past year. The Tar Heel State was complemented for having a noticeable southern charm, including an Asheville property named Lucky W Cottage which received over 530 5-star reviews from visitors.

“We’ve just had our highest numbers of cases and hospitalizations in about two months,” Cooper told reporters on Wednesday “There are a number of things, particularly in getting people vaccinated, that we are able to do because we’re in a state of emergency.” New cases have increased from near all-time lows.

Video of the incident shows the two deputies outside Sutherland's cell trying to remove him for a court hearing. One of them appears to use a taser several times as Sutherland cries out for help on the floor. They also kneeled on his back before he eventually stopped moving. An hour later, Sutherland was pronounced dead, according to officials at the Al Cannon Detention Center.

Officers were called for a wellness check at a residence in the Brown's Chapel area of Watauga County on Wednesday morning. This was reportedly after the homeowner and his family were unaccounted for and did not show up for work, according to the statement.

Horn's Facebook account showed several statements about being in the Capitol on Jan. 6 during the attack in Washington D.C., and he also made a live video recording while inside the Capitol. According to court documents, two people say they recognized Horn from an Instagram post by The New York Times and called the FBI.
