Welcome to a Wednesday edition of Breaking with Brett Jensen.

On this episode Brett is joined by WBT news anchor Mark Garrison to talk about the flurry of bills that North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper previously vetoed as the N.C. Legislature voted to override those vetoes today — including a bill about trans athletes in high school sports and a limit on when sexuality and gender can be taught in schools.

We’re also joined by Scott Hamilton to talk about driverless taxis getting tested in the Queen City. Scott talked to Charlotte City Councilman Tariq Bokhari about why they’re getting tested here + talks with Brett about what the testing process is like as well as how they work.

Brett and Scott also talk about how much the service will cost compared to other ride sharing service and some of the unexpected problems the company has had to work through + Scott shares how if he thinks the City Council will end up bringing them in full time.
