Vince Benedetto of Bold Gold Media joined the Brett Winterble Show to discuss Benedetto’s article with historian Lee Habeeb  about what they say may be Lincoln’s most underrated speech: The Cooper Union Address.

Benedetto explains how the address is surprisingly relevant today and how it works to argue that the majority of the Founding Fathers opposed slavery. He also talks about the challenges Lincoln and the Founders faced trying to abolish slavery after the signing of the Constitution prior to the Civil War and how the Constitution was used to start the road to abolition.

Brett and Vince also discuss the rumblings of a Civil War in this generation and if they term is being used to flippantly.
