As the 2021-22 school year comes to an end today Brett dives into the deep-rooted issues at CMS’ only alternative middle school Turning Point Academy, which often serves as an alternative to school suspensions for students who get into fights or bring vapes to school.
“Just how bad is it at Turning Point? So bad that every teacher has left,” leaving CMS with 5 teachers to replace at the academy alone.
We also talk about the story of a girl raped at Meyers Park High School and her lawsuit against CMS + Lt. Andy Roysten of CMPD joins Brett to talk about the presence of guns on Charlotte’s streets and the large haul of weapons recently seized.
